Connecting voices, growing potential, across the lifespan

Who I am

With 14 years of experience across hospital, community, and charitable settings, I’ve had the privilege of supporting a wonderfully diverse range of clients through their communication and swallowing journeys.

While my background is deeply rooted in adult neurological rehabilitation, I am equally passionate about pediatric therapy. I believe that whether you are regaining a voice or finding it for the first time, the goal is the same: meaningful connection.

When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll likely find me keeping up with my two energetic daughters or in the garden—where I’m perpetually trying to convince my vegetables to grow as well as my clients do! My mission is to help every individual—regardless of age—unleash their vibrant communication potential and stay connected to the people and places they love.

What I do

For Adults: Navigating Change with Confidence

With over 14 years of experience in neurological and community rehabilitation, I provide specialized support for:

  • Neurological Recovery: Expert support for adults navigating communication changes after a stroke or brain injury. I provide tailored therapy for aphasia (word-finding/understanding), dysarthria (unclear speech), and apraxia (coordinating speech) to help you reconnect with your community and regain your confidence.

  • Progressive Conditions: Proactive communication and swallowing support for those living with progressive conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease and Dementia.

  • Swallowing Safety (Dysphagia): Clinical assessments and practical strategies to ensure eating and drinking remain safe and enjoyable.

For Children: Building Foundations for the Future

I bring a clinician’s precision and a mother’s heart to pediatric therapy, focusing on:

  • Early Intervention: Helping new communicators share their joy and needs, and empowering the adults in their lives to create a supportive, communication-rich environment.

  • Speech Sound Support: Helping children develop clear communication to reduce frustration and support confident participation with their peers and whānau.

  • Language Development: Holistic support for literacy and social navigation that honors your child's unique communication style in educational and community settings.
